Chelsea Clinton has spent most of her life avoiding the limelight, and as hard as that may be for a former First Daughter, she's proved remarkably adept at it.
Escaping attention, sticking to a close circle of friends and family, and being a thoughtful and accomplished young woman has been her commendable M.O.
Which is why her debut as a reporter with NBC News this week was a bit surprising, but what wasn't a big surprise was that she seemed somewhat camera-shy.
Introducing his new reporter, who has no journalistic experience, Brian Williams said only that Chelsea Clinton "has joined us because she wants to tell stories."
The daughter of Bill and Hillary has made it clear that she doesn't want to become the next Barbara Walters or celebrify herself, but to do good in the world.
It looks like it took her all of 48 hours to make her presence felt in that regard with her first story, a piece on TOPPS Inc, a Pine Bluff, Ark., after school charity.
"We are thrilled and absolutely overwhelmed with joy," said a volunteer, who declined to provide her name. "We're overwhelmed with donations," she said.
